Chester Linear Park runs for less than a mile on a former rail corridor in the heart of Chester, Virginia. The path courses through a residential neighborhood, but the enveloping woodlands provide a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Parking for the trail can be found where Womack Road dead ends, just off W. Hundred Road/State Route 10.
Hard to find in some housing areas. There is nowhere to park. I think if you lived within walking distance it would be nice to walk your dog or if you have little kid learning to bike ride. There also isn't anywhere to park. Don't make a trip out of this park because it will not be worth your time.
Sweet short hike. I didn't know it was a 'rails to trails'. I was just visiting my daughter who lives in the area. I have wlked it in sun s=and snow. Enjoyed both times. Very quiet hike for right in the middle of small-town Chester.
