The shared use path parallels Dr. Robert Smith Sr. Parkway for less than 2 miles, starting west of the Jackson Amtrak station, and continuing on the north side of the road up to Wiggins Road. The parkway bumps up against the Jackson State University campus. Note that you'd have to cross from the north side to the south side of the road to get from the trail to the campus. The trail also passes by various residential neighborhoods.
There is no dedicated parking for this trail.
