On the eastern end of Bend, lies the short East Bend Canal Trail. It begins in a residential area and offers access to a small community park called Gardenside, which has a picnic shelter, playgrounds, and restrooms. Once out of the neighborhood, the trail heads south with views of high desert country dotted with junipers and sagebrush. The trail T-bones into the canal for which its named and continues a short distance in either direction along its bank.
Only a small section of this trail is nice.
