Running along N. East Street in Frederick, this very short segment of trail is built on a former rail corridor. There are plans to extend the trail along the former Walkerville Southern Railroad corridor to Heritage Park in Walkerville. This trail will connect with the planned Frederick and Pennsylvania Line Railroad Trail (formerly Monocacy Crossing Trail), which will eventually extend to Woodsboro.
From its south end by the intersection of Peters Ln & N East St, the off-road paved trail heads north until it reaches N Market St. Turning north on N Market St, the route briefly relies on a sidewalk and bike lane to connect it with the next off-road segment which picks up 300 feet north along N Market St. The paved off-road path continues for about a 1/3 of a mile until it dead-ends ends for now.
The south end of the trail connects to a large park that includes basketball courts, the East Side Pickleball Courts (401 Delaware Rd), and a parking lot.
Parking is available by the East Side Pickleball Courts (401 Delaware Rd) and in a small gravel lot across from the gas station at 1301 N East St.
