The Fern Ridge Path winds through western Eugene along Amazon Creek for most of its length. The western portion of the trail offers native prairie, wetlands and wildlife viewing, while the eastern half has a more urban feel with connections to businesses and city parks.
A small parking lot is available at the Meadowlark Prairie Trailhead on Green Hill Road at the west end of the trail. At the east end of trail, another small lot can be found on W. 15th Avenue.
Wonderful ride through the West Eugene Wetlands. Links up with other well established sidewalks and paths to make a longer ride. I love dedicated trails like this, wish they existed in every city.
