The Foothills Trail is located on the outskirts of a suburban enclave in northern Sparks, running on the edges of the development before the rolling hills to the east take over. The concrete pathway runs behind a series of homes, coursing throughout the neighborhood and providing a convenient pathway for dog-walking, exercise, and recreation that nearby residents can take advantage of.
While it may not have the length or utility to draw users from outside the area, the Foothills Trail is a nice amenity for locals that provides some lovely views of the dry, rolling hills that surround the suburban area.
No dedicated trail parking is available; to reach the southern end of the trail, take Vista Boulevard to Black Hills Drive, and look for the start of the trail to the south just past Bloomfield Lane.
