The Harrelson Trail runs along Harrelson Blvd in Myrtle Beach. From the south end to the Grissom Parkway Trail, the Harrelson Trail is part of the East Coast Greenway. The trail starts at S Kings Hwy (US 17 Business), a few blocks from the beach. There are forests along most of the route, and the trail passes a lake in the Whispering Pines Golf Course. The trail also goes by the entrance to Myrtle Beach International Airport. At Robert M. Grissom Pkwy, it intersects the Grissom Parkway Trail. The Harrelson Trail continues past the Coastal Grand Mall and crosses over the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway. After the bridge, the trail ends suddenly along George Bishop Pkwy.
Parking is available at Midway Park on South Road.
This trail is paved and wide. Some traffic to deal with, but not bad. We rode the eastern section between Grissom Parkway and Kings Highway as an extension of our ride on the Grissom Parkway Trail. An interesting ride along the airport on the South side and the golf course on the North side.
