The Hillsboro Trail was built on a former railroad bed and features four tunnels and bridges along its route. The trail connects residential areas in Helena, Alabama, to each other and to schools, as well as to Old Town Helena.
Parking is available at the trailhead on Appleford Road.
Nice trail, espevially for walking. Tree roots are heaving the pavement all along the trail making it very unpleasant for cycling.
Nice ride but some of the pavement was extra bumpy. Great fall views.
A good ride for the family. Relatively flat with some exception at one end. 299ft total evaluation change. Good shade for most. Walkers common but wide enough for all to enjoy.
