A charming, natural surface trail that runs from Orr Park to Stephens Park in Montevallo, the Montevallo Greenway provides trail users with a great means of accessing the wooded creeks on the outskirts of town, home to a variety of critters including muskrats and various waterfowl. The trail uses wide sidepaths to head through town from Orr Park, winding behind athletic fields for the local university, then turns to a dirt and natural surface as it follows creekbeds north and west out towards Stephens Park. A great way for locals to get in some recreation, and a great way for anyone to experience the natural beauty of the community, the Montevallo Greenway accomplishes quite a bit in under two miles of trail.
Parking and restrooms are available at Orr Park, located on Park Drive in Montevallo. A paved walking trail in the park will take you to the start of the greenway trail.
