Larkspur Trail Reviews

Larkspur Trail Review

Location: St. George, UT
Parking: Crosby Family Confluence Park
Trail Condition: Wide asphalt and smooth. Great shape. Up to the Bloomington Hills North Park section, that portion has narrower trail and older asphalt. Surface is still good.
Signage: We rode several trails on this ride and all had really good route direction signage and some informational signs. St. George has done a great job with their trail system, other communities should take note.
Comments: We picked up a 2019 St. George Park & Trail System Map & Guide. The updated guide shows current trail info. This trail incorporates the Bloomington Hills North Trail now. We started this trail from the Virgin River South Trail, rode to end of trail in Bloomington Hills North Park, and returned to Virgin River South Trail. A short steep hill climb from the river bed plain up into a residential area is encountered early on. From there it is a gradual climb to the end of trail. The trail passes through a couple park areas and green space. It is a nice diversion from the main Virgin River trails. Overall we really enjoyed all the trails and the scenery the St. George trail system had to offer. The trails are very popular with many folks (walkers & bikers) on them. People were friendly and offered a wave or hello.

Around and through Bloomington Hills North Park

First, Sorry about getting 3 pictures that belong on Bluff St Path, on this site. Reduce the map scale and the pictures show up where they belong.
Entered this trail via Virgin River South and Fort Pearce Wash Trail to Larkspur Trailhead / Park. Trail provides several loops in mild rolling terrain around a grass park with playgrounds, restrooms & drinking fountains. Many access trails to the surrounding residences. Surface in excellent condition. Noel Keller 27 Mar 2011
