Picking up right where the Lynn Lane Multi-Use Path leaves off, the Locksley Way Multi-Use Path provides a crucial connection for cyclists and pedestrians between residential neighborhoods in Starkville and Mississippi State University. The pathway, completed in 2019, is a mixture of off-road trail and two-way cycletrack with sidewalk (the first two-way protected bike facility in the state), with most of the portion along Locksley Way composed of the cycletrack with a separated sidepath for the portions along Blackjack Road and Montgomery Street.
The path does not feature much in the way of natural scenery, but provides an important commuting and recreation option for nearby residents and university students and faculty, giving cyclists and pedestrians a safe, convenient path along the busy roadways.
No dedicated parking is provided for this trail, although parking may be available nearby on the MSU campus.
The Starkville-MSU Area Rapid Transit system provides bus service adjacent to the trail along Locksley Way.
