The Nature Center is located off Farley Drive. From I-94, take Exits 121 or 124 and go 0.25 mile southeast of the Albion College campus (Hannah Street). The center is along the North Branch of the Kalamazoo River.
Similar to nearby Dalhem Center, this is not a trail per se, but a number of
them in an enclosed area, with the main trail only being a mile long (round trip). As bikes are not allowed at the colleges request, this is just a set trail loops that can be walked in a small location
Located at the Whitehouse Nature Center near Albion College, the Main Trails title describes itself well. This trail leads to and through all other nature center trails starting at the informative Interpretive Building, leading over the East Branch of the Kalamazoo River, and finally to its terminus at 29.5 Mile Road. A beautiful easy-going trail tunneling through a thick covering of deciduous cover with spectacular riparian views at the Kalamazoo River Bridge. Spend a couple hours traveling through the history trail learning about the Nature Center land - bog fires, old mill, barn foundation, Interurban Railroad, quarry, and gravel pit.
