Maurer Road Path Description

Maurer Road Path parallels its namesake roadway for just over a mile in the city of Shawnee on the outskirts of Kansas City. The north-south route connects residential and shopping areas and, at its southern end, meets the east-west Midland Drive Path.

When you reach W. 61st Street, you can take neighborhood sidewalks east along the street to reach Swarner Park, which offers baseball and soccer fields, picnic areas, a playground, skate park, and fishing pond. From the park's southeast corner, you can also hop on the Lackman Road Path to head south.

Parking and Trail Access

Just east of the trail, ample parking can be found at Swarner Park (6200 Lackman Road).
