Situated within Shawnee Mission Park in Lenexa, the SMP Paved Trail offers a pleasant way for park visitors to experience the surrounding beauty without their car. The trail provides access to many of the park's features, including Shawnee Mission Lake. At its west end, the SMP Paved Trail connects to the Mill Creek Streamway Park Trail. In the east, the trail connects to the 79th Street Path.
Parking for the SMP Paved Trail is available in Shawnee Mission Park at several parking lots lining 79th Street.
Smooth, wide trail for walkers and bikers. Weaves through forest and open fields. Some hills. Beautiful fields of flowers in summer and fall. Can be busy at peak times
