New Ulm Bike Circle Description

While the idea is to have a bike-ped loop around the city, on the ground there are two discrete off-street segments of trail. The first is 4 miles long, from 20th Street to Broadway, threading through South Market Park, South German Park, German Park, Johnson Park and North Broadway Park. It cuts through a mix of residential, commercial and largely industrial areas. As such, it's in a perfect position to be both a recreational pathway as well as a commuting route for local residents.

The second segment parallels Highland Avenue for two miles between Garden and 7th Streets in a suburban farmscape.

The two segments may be bridged using on-street and sidewalk routes as shown on the city website (See the related links on the right-hand-side of this page).
