The Northwest 62nd Avenue Trail is a wide sidepath in Johnston, IA, that serves as an important off-road connector between many of the trails in the city's well-developed trail system and the greater regional trail network in turn. The path begins at NW 59th Court, a short distance away from the start of the Johnston Interurban Trail, and continues along the side of NW 62nd Avenue for over three miles. Along the way, it connects with the Augustine Trail, the Beaver Creek Greenbelt Trail (via the South Drive Recreation Trail), and the Green Meadows West Trail. This trail may not be much to look at, but it is an invaluable resource for pedestrians or cyclists looking to get around town or explore the rich trail system.
No dedicated parking is available for the trail, but street parking or lots may be available along the route; be sure to follow any posted parking signs.
Great width of concrete to ride on- links to great trails around Terra park.
