Oak Lake Connector Trail Description

Oak Lake Connector Trail is a shared-use path around the edge of Oak Lake Park in northwest Lincoln, Nebraska. The trail continues where the Salt Creek Levee Trail leaves off, beginning at Haymarket Park, the home of the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Although most of the route parallels Charleston Street and N. 1st Street, there are pleasant views to be had of Salt Creek, Oak Lake and the surrounding terrain. At the park, trail users can enjoy many activities, including picnicking, fishing and boating.

Parking and Trail Access

The Oak Lake Trail has parking that can be accessed on Charleston Street, near the Sun Valley Boulevard intersection. There is also another parking lot on Charleston, close to Cornhusker Highway.
