Oregon Park East Bike Path is nestled along the east bank of the Rock River in the small town of Oregon in northern Illinois. The 23-acre park offers athletic facilities, restrooms, grills, and picnic tables, as well as an observation deck for the dam that crosses the river. For those who want to enjoy the water, access for fishing and canoeing is also available. A unique attraction in the park is the Chana School Museum, an 1883 two-room school house that provides educational exhibits and programs.
Parking can be found in Oregon Park East (off River Road), which the trail runs through.
Don’t waste a special trip for this one. Would take you 3 min to complete.
