Quail Creek Trail is a wide, concrete bike-ped trail connecting residents of Broomfield to the regional Big Dry Creek Trail in neighboring Westminster. The trail begins in Quail Park in Broomfield, nestled between the southern perimeter of the park and the wetland. Leaving the park, the trail continues along the Quail Creek riparian area marked by dense patches of cattails, sedges and willows, past houses with their backs to the trail. At 136th Avenue, an underpass delivers users safely across the street. The trail then continues along a ditch, coming to 134th Avenue where it starts to parallel the street. At Kalamath Street, users should turn left to join the segment of trail through Quail's Crossing Park. Another underpass takes users across Huron Street into the final stretch of trail. At the end of the trail, one can either head north onto the I-25 trail or south onto the 12-mile long Big Dry Creek Trail.
Park at Quail Park in at Zuri Street and W. 138th Avenue in Broomfield. The park entrance and parking lot is located along 138th Street.
