The short Snow Vista Trail forms part of a linked network of trails that runs through neighborhoods in the southwestern corner of Albuquerque. Starting in the north where the Westgate Trail leaves off, the Snow Vista Trail runs alongside Snow Vista Boulevard south to De Anza Drive, where just across the road the Amole Arroyo Trail begins. Take care when crossing the road midway through the trail, as there is no crosswalk or traffic signal despite the presence of a middle school and community center just off the trail.
The northern end of trail lies at the start of the concrete-lined Snow Vista Channel, which together with the nearby Amole Arroyo help divert water during heavy rainfall to avoid flooding in the dry New Mexico landscape. While this flat, paved trail by itself may not be all that impressive, considered together with its connecting trails it creates a solid backbone for recreation and off-road transportation in the community.
Parking is available at the Westgate Community Center, located to the east of the trail at 1400 Snow Vista Boulevard SW.
