The Ladera Dam Trail runs for nearly a mile and a half along the side of Ladera Drive in western Albuquerque, offering a pleasant sidepath that only requires a couple of road crossings along the route, running on the western side of the road that borders a large golf course. The trail's northern end connects to the short but lovely Atrisco Trail, which leads up into the Quaker Heights neighborhood. With its wide asphalt surface and relatively uninterrupted corridor, the Ladera Dam Trail makes a fine addition to the area's excellent network of multi-use trails.
Parking for the trail may be available at the Ladera Golf Course, located at 3401 Ladera Drive NW; be sure to follow any posted parking signs and regulations.
