Providing over two miles of paved, multi-use trail in the suburban developments of western Albuquerque, the Arroyo Vista Trail is a nice community pathway that provides a great way for residents to get around and get some exercise.
The winding route of the trail starts in the southeast off of Ladera Drive, then follows a spacious corridor along the side of the road to the west. The trail turns north along Arroyo Vista Boulevard, and then continues northeast along Tierra Pintada Boulevard for over a mile. The trail may not offer the scenic vistas that you can find on the nature trails in the nearby Petroglyph National Monument, but as a neighborhood recreation path, it certainly gets the job done.
Parking is available near the southeastern end of the trail at Parkway Park, located on Parkland View Drive just a short distance away from the start of the trail. Additional parking may be available nearby on-street along the route of the trail; be sure to follow any posted parking signs and regulations.
