Right in the middle of the Herndon suburbs, the Sugarland Run Stream Valley Trail provides an Oasis for hikers and bikers looking to escape into the woods. For it's nearly 3 mile run, the trail follows Sugarland Run, and it is situated in the woods of the Sugarland Land Run Park.
The additional 3 miles of spur trails connects trail users to the surrounding suburbs and other places nearby, including the Hunters Creek Swim and Racquet Club, Stuart Road and Rummymeade Parks. The whole length of the trail is paved, making it perfect for walkers, bikers and everyone in between. The trail also crosses Sugarland Run a number of times, with three bridges and many fair-weather crossings (or stepping stones) across the river throughout the course of the trail.
Parking is available near the northern terminus of the trail, at 12200 Parkstream Terrace, Herndon, VA 20170. See TrailLink Map for more detailed information.
