Torrence Creek Greenway offers a pleasant route through meadows, woodlands, and wetlands south of Huntersville. Along the paved, 1.4-mile route, the trail offers many points to access the surrounding neighborhoods. On its eastern end, there are also some unusual large rock formations to check out.
The trail is part of the developing Carolina Thread Trail, which spans two states and 15 counties.
On-street parking is available about mid-trail at 13121 Bradford Hill Lane. From I-77, take Exit 23 (Gilead Road). Take Gilead Road West to Bradford Hill Lane. Turn left and follow Bradford Hill Lane to its intersection with the greenway.
I live in the neighborhood so I go all the time. I especially love it when there are few people and most of what I hear are the birds. Most if it is shaded but there is also a walkway that leads to an open area where you can feel the warm sun as well. The only downside is that there are a number of people who don’t bother to clean up after there dog.
First time riding this trail. Nicely kept. Friendly people on trail.
Great Saturday ride! Path is shady and wide.. saw lots of dogs 🐾
The walk is pleasant and for much of the paths pretty level. Great for biking and walking. Travels outside the close proximity to homes which makes it ideal to get out and take advantage of the paths.
It seems larger than 1.4 miles, I believe this is due to a recent addition I did not have time to use. no parking lot, you have to park on a street. The main trail is flat. I did not have time to explore the addition. will return someday to do so. I liked it.
