The Town to Creek Trail is situated right in the heart of Woodstock, a northwestern suburb of Atlanta. Shortly after its beginning at Market Street (one block from Main Street), the paved trail dives into woodlands, winding its way west for just over a half-mile. At its western end, it directly connects with the Noon Day Creek Trail, which heads south for another mile.
Public parking is available in downtown Woodstock off Mill Street and Market Street.
Very nice for walking but pavement seems narrow if bikers are present as they move pretty quickly, many times not warning walkers especially with small children of their presence.
Love dogs too but.. leashes over 5 ft should be discouraged as they totally block the path causing concerns for trail enthusiasts .
(Path currently ends at 92 not yet joining the Noonday trail south and then west to Kennesaw Mountain) That will be a really great ride when it is complete.
The section to "Woofstock Dog Park", tied into the main line Town to Creek Trail, is now open! Walk with your dogs, bike with family / friends. There is even a small pavillion at the intersection of the spur (but no tables / benches). The spur leads to the dog park (on a beautiful long bridge) where there is a large fenced area for dogs that are 30# or less, or an equivalent size fenced area for dogs that are more than this (though seeing the 2 Great Danes playing with each other one might think they need another area for dogs that are 75# or more! ha).
