Utah and Salt Lake Canal Trail Description

True to its name, this shared use path sits adjacent to the Utah and Salt Lake Canal as it extends east across West Valley City. From its start point of 5600 west to its terminus on Midway Drive, the trail is sandwiched between the canal and rows of single family homes. Along the way it makes useful connections to schools and parks. On the west side of the trail, it runs along the perimeter of Woodledge Park. On the east end, a concrete path makes the seamless connection from Midway Drive to the Weckler Memorial Park, a linear park paralleling 4715 South.

The trail is paved and useful for bike-riding, dog-walking, jogging and in-line skating. The trail is closed in winter.
