Willow Creek Greenbelt Trail

Beautiful trail but not great for inline skating

May, 2020 by parked

This is a really beautiful trail. I ran it so as to scout out inline skating trails. It's not 100% ok for inline skating. Many parts are dirt/gravel. Some parts are old asphalt with lots of cracks etc. Some areas, when going under roadways, have steep decline/incline. Did someone actually inline skate this before rating?

Sights, Sounds , & Smells

May, 2020 by eddins.mcnealy

My wife and I rode from Golden on 5/16/2020, it was our first time on this trail. We started in downtown Golden and it took us some time to find the trail along hwy 53. The trail is paved and in good condition. The first few miles along Clear Creek we rode by Coors and their recycling facility, some interesting smells. The experience overall was very good, lots people out, some opportunity for higher speeds but lots of parks with people, be careful. N

Big Dry Creek Trail (Westminster)

Pleasant neighborhood trail experience

May, 2020 by RTC

We rode the southwestern tip of Big Dry Creek Trail on a lovely May day, beginning near Westminster City Park and traveling past Highway 36 to Standley Lake. We greatly enjoyed the experience. Although you are never far from residential homes and a few retail hubs, the trail is nicely tucked into nature and closely follows the creek. There were outstanding views of the ravine, stretches of open space, and the mountains with lots of benches and picnic areas along the way. We saw many types of birds—including pelicans, red-winged blackbirds, swallows, and some type of hawk—as well as prairie dogs. The trail was paved until we approached the lake and then it was hard-packed crushed stone, which our hybrids handled well. It was roughly 10 miles roundtrip, which was easily doable for our 10-year-old daughter; no steep inclines, no street crossings (there were several underpasses to bypass traffic), and only one small stretch of on-road riding for a couple of blocks on a quiet rural road (not a single car even passed us). A pleasant surprise was all the beautiful artwork along the trail; every street underpass had painted murals.

High Line Canal Trail (CO)

Highline Canal from Waterton to Redstone Park

May, 2020 by cari.risby

The trail is not well marked and at mile 8.6 it just ends. There are no trespassing signs through a farm and this is the only way to cut through back to Titan. Then you have to dangerously navigate running along titan and highway 85 for about a mile before seeing the trail again. To get back on your must go into deep gully, cross railroad tracks and then it’s fine. Need an adrenaline rush on 85, go for it otherwise get on a different location if you are planning to go more than 8.6 miles.

High Line Canal Trail (CO)

Best trail in Denver area!

May, 2020 by keely.mcfall

If you’re training for a half, full marathon, or an ultra, this is the best trail to do it! The length of the trail makes it easy to go straight for many miles. There are several confusing spots where it’s unclear where the trail branches off into smaller ones. Overall, the best I’ve found!

Bear Creek Trail (Denver)

fun

March, 2020 by terrybsnyder

A fun ride - easy and scenic. Goes from South Lowell through Lakewood & beyond. A few points get a bit crowded with walkers but generally wide open. BTW Google Maps directs you to a closed lot - I parked by Mullen HS a block away to access the trail.

Cherry Creek Regional Trail

Great ride for all

March, 2020 by henrysanin

The Cherry Creek trail is well maintained and has rest areas, air stations and restrooms along the route. Riders ranging from novice to expert ride along the trail that goes through suburbs and into downtown. Beautiful riverside trails lined with towering trees and natural wild vegetation.

C-470 Bikeway

Tunnel under Quebec Street almost complete.

March, 2020 by garyarthurfinearts

Finally, the tunnel under Quebec Street at E470 is almost complete. Should be complete by Late Spring, 2020. Great addition to the trail and enhances safety for users.

Mary Carter Greenway (Arapahoe Greenway)

Great Easy Trail

January, 2020 by djhuckaby

I have bikes this trail a few time in an adaptive trike. It is pretty level (for Colorado). There’s always plenty of people running, walking and biking this trail, but everyone is courteous and works together to use the trail.

Ralston Creek Trail

Frustrating yet scenic

November, 2019 by giuseppe_scarpitta

Never again. Although very scenic in some areas the signage along this trail is lacking, especially in important areas when there is a fork in the trail. I found myself going the wrong way several times. The City of Arvada needs to step up and provide direction for riders who don't know this trail. When it's getting dark and becoming cold, the challenge of finding your way back on the this kind of trek does not become fun anymore.
