Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes

Rode the whole route and it was grins the whole way. I was a self contained tourist rided 38 mm tires and it was like a smooth road with no cars. FANTASTIC.

Absolutely beautiful ride!! Along the way we discovered that legislation has been passed to not allow Ebikes... what a bummer!

Century Ride!

Rode the entire trail from Mullan to Plummer back to Rose Lake and then back to Harrison to do 100 miles. Perfect weather and the scenery was so outstanding the miles just flew by! Absolutely loved this trail ! I went early July.

Outstanding Trail

I road a section of the beginning of this trail from Plummer, ID to the famous Chatcolet Bridge, and another section from Osborn, ID to Mullan, ID. This is an outstanding paved trail with beautiful scenery. The sections I road were fairly easy for riding. I will definitely be riding this trail when in the area again.

Redmond to Roslyn via Palouse to Cascade Trail

June, 2019 by forest.hoag

I was turning 44 years old and decided to ride the west section of the Palouse to Cascade trail for some needed alone time. Left Redmond at about 8am and made it to North Bend at about 9:45, where I swapped out my road tires for some slightly wider road tires (32c). A road bike with gravel tires is fine for most of this ride.

Began slogging up the railroad grade. Saw lots of rock climbers, picnickers, and a few cyclists. Weather was warm and it was beautiful. Take a lot of water and snacks, because there is no where to refresh unless you bring a filter.

My legs were getting pretty cooked by the time I made it to the tunnel. I was expecting the temp to drop, but did not realize my legs would instantly cramp from the cold! That was a little weird, being a mile into a dank, dark tunnel with legs spazzing into knots.

Made it out, and drug myself another two miles up to the summit for lunch. Calories please!

Continued on to Easton, then Roslyn, then up to the little town of Ronald to meet my family at an Airbnb.

Total miles: 97.5
Totally calories: 5780!

Beautiful ride on a great trail

We really enjoyed our mid-May ride of this beautiful trail . The trail itself is in great shape, cyclists facilities are plentiful and well maintained and the sights along the Trail are great to experience. I can't wait to tackle more of this trail next time we get to Idaho. Can't recommend this trail highly enough!

Rode the John Wayne trail from Beverly to east of Smyrna April 25, 2019 about 15.5 miles. Trail is in good condition. The ride was a tad over 5 hours. Started about noon and reached our destination a little after 5 PM. Saw two rattlesnakes and heard several others. One place sounded like it could have been a den of them. The horses shied and side stepped a bit but no rodeo. Lots of water birds. And we saw asparagus growing along the tracks in several places. Plan to continue on east as the weather permits.

Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes

80 miler out and back

August, 2018 by rcaffey_tl

Departed the Enaville trail-head at dawn on July 29. 2018 and rode to Chatcolet bridge by mid-morning. Stopped at Harrison for lunch on the ride back (One Shot Charlies) and returned to Enaville in the afternoon.

Total miles was 79.5 - but we are rounding it to 80!!

Excellent ride that was cool at the start (55f at 6 am) and hot at the end (95f at 4 pm).

Three of us riding (myself, age 53, wife age 52, and daughter age 21).

It was an epic trip and I cant say enough positive things about this trail.
