Aldridge Creek Greenway

Easy, Scenic Trail...

August, 2020 by burniston2021

....start at Ditto Landing early Saturday morning and ride to St. Thomas Episcopal Church for their Saturday morning Farmer’s Market. Great scenery along the way. Wildflowers and small wildlife - honeysuckle along the creek banks and turtles sunning on the rocks.

Sunset Drive Trail

Nice View

Beautiful view...I found this trail while searching for paved bike trails. It’s too short for trying to get high miles in but great for walking.

Chattanooga Riverwalk (Tennessee Riverpark)

Fantastic trail!

August, 2020 by redmaypril

I biked this with my family last month. Definitely one of the best bike paths I’ve ridden on. Not crowded, flat, and gorgeous scenery! Part of the trail was closed but there is a detour around it (if you’re coming from downtown, you turn into the big parking lot and follow the highway, and turn left after the railroad tracks. That road veers to the right and then you’re back in business). There were bathrooms nicely spaced out and even some water stations. Highly recommend and will becoming back!

Mill Creek Greenway (AL)

Short, quiet, and beautiful

June, 2020 by hritter1

This greenway is only 0.5 miles long that runs along Mill Creek. It has an enclosed public dog park along the way which is very spacious for dogs of al sizes. The trail is paved and is very well taken care of with plenty of shade throughout. My kids and I enjoyed riding our bikes along it.

Indian Creek Greenway (AL)

Beautiful ride

Took my kids (4 and 9) for a bike ride along the trail and it was a smooth and beautiful scenic ride. Very enjoyable and easy.

It’s asphalt now not crushed stone. Great for runs after school or walks.

Sunset Drive Trail

Relaxing, slightly rolling trail along water and through trees. Plenty of benches and tables. I'm really glad I found this one.

Mountain Goat Trail

Great Trail!

March, 2020 by kira.d.burnett

My husband and I took the trail that started near Mountain Outfitters and ended nearby Sewanee. Beautiful, fun ride! After the first swervy bit, it was a straight shot with a good amount of slow uphill and downhill areas. I was worried about crossing roads, but it wasn’t bad and there was moderately low and friendly foot traffic. At the end if t trail, we biked around Sewanee and had a picnic before heading back. So glad this is near us while we’re all still social distancing. ¿¿¿¿

Redstone Arsenal Fitness Trail

not quit that long

December, 2019 by timtripp68

I started at the golf course and ran down to the fitness center at the end and only recorded ~15 gps miles. Not quit 8.8 in one direction. Nice run though.

Trail closed 10/7/2019 for 3 weeks at Rowing Center

October, 2019 by cheryl77

We parked at Chickamauga Dam Riverpark and got on the trail heading towards downtown Chattanooga. The trail is well maintained and utilized by a variety of residents, all of whom were respectful and mannered. However, when we got to the Rowing Center we discovered the trail had closed two days ago for a three week period. Just FYI as we were not aware. There were other people surprised at the trail closing as well when we were there.

Historic Bridgeport Walking Trail

Tiny But Impactful Rail Trail

October, 2019 by edmcanally

This jewel of a trail is making me reconsider skipping all the small trails. At right at 2 miles round trip, the Bridgeport Walking Trail boasts outstanding scenery, a river crossing and parallels a working railroad. The trail begins near the old depot on Bonner Ave. A steep ascension is difficult to navigate in 90+ degree heat but soon transitions to a gravel railroad bed leading to the Tennessee River. If you wish to ride to the bridge, I’d advise taking the paved Bonner Ave. If you are traveling I24, take the South Pittsburgh Exit and and stretch a few minutes in Bridgeport.

Chattanooga Riverwalk (Tennessee Riverpark)

Great Trail

September, 2019 by jasperpjm

We biked from the southern terminus to the boat launch, about 10 miles. Real nice, very scenic , lots of sculptures along the way. Trail along river north of there was closed. We probably could have and should have worked our way around the closed section but we did not.
Lots of variety. Some old abandoned buildings from a previous time and some new ones from today.
Markings were poor in some places.
