Discovered this comfortable place with great accommodations for two bike travelers. They offer a pullout sofa if you do not wish to share a bed. Indoor bike storage with a comfy bed and a hot shower! Distillery right next-door and two restaurants to fuel up in the morning to get back on the trail. Close to the panhandle of West Virginia. Their name is Harmony Trail Haven on Airbnb.
Highly recommend this beautiful and well kept trail. Beautiful to ride along the trees and over the 2 epic ohiopyle bridges.
Passing by on I-90 and needed a break. Started at Rest Area and rode to end. Not much changed since last summer. Trail still over grown along the older section of trail. Still a nice trail and great for a break from the drive. Did see a couple other people on the trail.
Extremely nice trail has a great flow to it like a good rail trail would enjoyed it quite a bit twice actually. Camped at Spring Hill Campground very nice Campground, did some shopping at Albertson’s. What a great little store served my needs well. Thank you Town of Anaconda Montana
Short trail in the valley, all dirt and gravel, we were able to get a total of 2 mi distance out of it. Beautiful and easy to get to! Great place for a morning walk. We will definitely come back.
Ok section, kind of dull. Agriculture & cows. Found a bit of shade by a grain elevator for lunch. Several washouts filled with tumbleweeds as you get closer to Lind.
We started in Akron and rode about 18 miles north. Loved it!!!
It’s good if you’re looking for a straight shot up to Belgrade however it definitely is not very scenic as there is heavy traffic right next to it. Also there are a decent few cracks in the road so if you don’t have any suspension on your bike be careful.
We ( recumbent trike & e-bike) headed West from the Kiwanis park. Turned around after 9km as the surface was really tough on the trike. There’s 2 good wheel tracks for bikes, but the trike had to ride partially in the coarse trail ballast. Scenic area with farm views and a huge windmill farm in the distance.
Copperway Regional Trail – Started at north end of trail, at rest area. Nice wide and newly paved trail until it connects to the older trail portion. Rode the older section several years ago and was a nice trail. Trail is still decent but certainly needs some love with weed control. The trail seems to end at a gravel parking lot 2 miles from start. But isn’t the end. Go through the parking lot up the embankment to the highway and across the highway is a nice new trail head with paved parking and comfort station. Trail continues on for another 1 mile into a small valley (German Gulch) where the Silver Bow creek runs through. Ends at a gravel road. Close by is a ped bridge crossing the river for fishing access and trail up steam. Didn’t go up trail but might be a single track mountain bike option. Overall like this trail.
Trail was clear of snow. Lots of sand
