We rode the trail today 10-27-2024. The weather was perfect in the 70’s and slightly cloudy. The trail has lots of beautiful scenery. Only complaint was the condition of some of the asphalt. In some sections it has many cracks which are NOT marked so be very careful. The concrete sections were in great shape.
This path is littered with homeless people! Their tents, clotheslines, and trash line the river and completely destroy what would be a beautiful view of the river. Worse than the bike paths in downtown Denver!!
Do. It go on a hot sunny day, there is little to no shade whatsoever! Not really a lot to look at either. It would be good for a quick bike ride. Otherwise, it’s just eh.

Although the map shows the Platte River Trail ending at E-470, the trail continues seamlessly another 3.8 miles north to Veterans Park in Brighton.
Trail is awesome I take this trail to get up to north Glenn from Denver just be aware is very busy at times and alot of geese/duck crap on the path
This trail currently extends through the Westminster Hills Open Space and Colorado Hills Open Space almost to Indiana Street.
Great trail for biking however I wish they would leave the surface alone and stop adding concrete!! Be careful when going into tunnels, these may be flooded and contain debris. You could also take a nasty fall, so please slow down. Lots of wildlife and great for bird watching!
