Candy Mountain Express Bike Trail

Awesome Fall Afternoon

October, 2025 by w.e.danley

My wife and I road this trail yesterday (October 25, 2025). The fall colors were beautiful and the day was perfect, 64 degrees with a slight breeze and partly cloudy. The trail is in great condition and can be tackled by nearly all ability levels.

Halfway Wash Trail

easy trail =unexpected fun

October, 2025 by colleen_avon

This was an easy trail, no steep inclines or descents. Travelled it 3 days after rain storm. One of the tunnels was still covered in 6 inches of water/mud!! I wasn’t prepared for that but continued on, a little fun adventure! Came out the other side with bike and feet dirty, lol. Also didn’t realize the trail just abruptly ended in a neighborhood. Had to back track and exit off a side trail i hadn’t noticed before to get to Snow Canyon parkway.

Virgin River North Trail

Nice trail-would recommend!

October, 2025 by allyn.dana

I wanted to write a review since there hasn’t been one since 2020. Great trail, gentle hills and slopes and the trail goes along some businesses and soccer fields etc but stays right along the Virgin River the whole way although it isn’t always visible. There are rest stops and bathrooms along the way as well. Trail has had some repairs so it’s in good shape. Would highly recommend for the length of the ride, its connections to quite a few other trails and for the mountain views!

Jordan River Trail

Middle section is a good ride

October, 2025 by vlkjbox

I rode my street bike from the Triumph trailhead south to just past MM 15 and back. The grade is slightly uphill as you go upstream (south) and downhill heading back, so it's an easy ride. I saw horses, big-horn sheep, and pronghorn antelope.
My main issue is that the signage makes it difficult to be sure which segment is the main Jordan River trail. There are a lot of branches, and I got lost a couple of times, but Google Maps got me back on course. The pavement in the older sections is a little bumpy at the joints.
Still, a worthwhile ride.

Provo River Parkway

We loved it

July, 2025 by hebwright

We started on the north end of the trail. It was mostly flat, paved, and shaded after a mile in. We enjoyed stopping at the waterfall and went about 6 miles before turning around. I went with a 5 y/o and 9 y/o and they had a blast.

Kays Creek Parkway

nice secluded area

July, 2025 by burtoncornaby

This has a nice paved trail. It is steep in some areas but our electric bikes did fine. Lots of people walking and it was wonderful. Short ride for electric but probably average for regular bikes or walking.

Denver and Rio Grande Western Rail Trail

Dangerous For Walkers

July, 2025 by gauibel

The numbers of ebikes traveling at high speeds on this trail has increased significantly. There have been fast cyclists on the trails for years but at least they were controlled by human muscle power. You now have an ebike going VERY fast only 2 feet from a pedestrian. One misstep from either and its going to be a very bad accident. I can see no attempt to control the type or speeds of the ebikes.

Mapleton Lateral Canal Trail

The road is smooth but there is absolutely no shade.

Candy Mountain Express Bike Trail

Wonderful ride

Rode from Sevier River RV park down to the end at Big Rock Candy Mountain resort area (and back). Beautiful! Smooth paved trail down a canyon next to a river and non-busy highway. Beautiful high canyon walls.
