Cedar Falls, Iowa is well known for being home to regional treasures like the Cedar Valley Lakes Trail, but what really makes the city special is its trail network. Miles of dedicated sidepaths, park greenways and off-street trails criss-cross the city to create a series of connections that extend your riding in every direction. The 1st Street Trail is only 1.6 miles long and travels through a mostly residential neighborhood. At Union Road however, it connects to the Union Road trail, which in turn intersects with the 12th Street Trail. The 1st Street Trail also connects to the Hudson Road Trail on its eastern end, allowing you to continue south onto the campus of the University of Northern Iowa.
There is no dedicated parking for this trail but you may be able to park at one of the businesses along it; be sure to follow any posted parking signs.
