The trailhead is located at the end of Tollgate Road, which is just east of Sheffield on US Route 6.
Use caution if visiting this area! It is still part of the Allegheny National Forest but is one of the abandoned trail systems. As I understand it, trail blazes have been removed and there is not much parking. With a good topographic map, you could probably explore the area by using forest roads and such. But proceed with caution.
