The Arcadia Marsh Trail is a short boardwalk trail that crosses the swamp in Arcadia Marsh Nature Preserve. This universally accessible path follows the route of a former railroad and offers a prime spot for bird-watching, as well as a fishing platform.
Parking is available at both trailheads.
This is a beautiful boardwalk trail through one of the few surviving wetlands along Lake Michigan. You can see the trout swimming along the river! Note that this is for foot traffic only, bikes and motorized conveyances of any sort are prohibited, except for motorized wheelchairs.
This is a very nice walk, mostly on boardwalk Great birding opportunity. From the Arcadia /Rt 22 trailhead you can go about one-half mile then the trail is closed Apr 15 to Jul 15 to protect nesting habitat. Still a very lovely walk. You can enter from the St. Pierre Rd trailhead and go less than a quarter mile.
