Situated in an isolated, serene section of eastern Sioux City, Bacon Creek Park is a 200-acre recreation site that provides a variety of outdoor activities around a small lake, including the lovely Bacon Creek Trail. This three-mile paved trail carries trail users throughout the park and loops around the lake, traversing a gorgeous and shady landscape as it heads up and down hills, following the contours of the lakeshore.
A perfect amenity for any family picnic outing, birdwatching expedition, or daily jog, the Bacon Creek Trail is a hidden gem within the Sioux City parks system that is well worth checking out for anyone interested in a short, peaceful trail experience just outside the heart of the city.
Parking and restrooms are available within Bacon Creek Park, located at 5015 Correctionville Road in Sioux City.
