Floyd River Trail Description

The northern end of the Floyd River Trail begins at Floyd Boulevard at the doorstep to Leeds Elementary School. From there, the paved pathway crosses a set of railroad tracks and then parallels the Floyd River as it heads southwest through Sioux City. Midway, the trail borders the ball fields of Headid Park.

Note that the trail has an open feel with little shade and a portion of the route runs adjacent to active railroad tracks in a scenario known as rail-with trail.
