This linear recreational trail allows residents of Avon to connect to the B&O Trail in neighboring Brownsburg without having to drive to it. The trail starts on Country Road 100 and takes a straight route north either through or adjacent to residential subdivisions. From CR 200 north, the trail is sandwiched between single-family homes on one side and corn fields on the other.
There is no dedicated parking for this trail but residents can access it on foot or by bike from intersecting streets.
This trail is a classic example of short trails connected to longer and developed trails that allow access from neighboring areas. The trail is smooth with short access points along the way … it is open with most sections without tree cover and can get very hot during the Indiana summer ! This is the type of trail needed in many places in Indiana where small feeders trails bring residents out to longer and developed systems!
