The Burlington Walking Path is a paved trail through rural, rolling countryside that connects the cities of Minot and Burlington in north-central North Dakota. It parallels County Road 15 for most of its length, which becomes 4th Avenue as the trail approaches Minot. On this eastern end of the trail, it is known as the 4th Avenue Trail.
From the trail's end in Minot, you could continue east on the sidewalk along 4th Avenue for another mile to reach Oak Park. At 90 acres, it's one of the city's largest parks; here, you'll find restrooms, picnic shelters, walking paths, and many bur oaks for which the park is named.
Parking is available a mile east of the trail in Minot's Oak Park (1305 4th Avenue NW). From the park, travel west along the sidewalk paralleling 4th Avenue until you reach the start of the trail.
