Running along the south side of Del Rey Avenue as a wide asphalt sidepath, the Del Rey Ave Trail provides over a mile of pathway to help connect nearby residents with the rest of Albuquerque's trail network, while also offering a nice option for jogging, dog-walking, and recreation.
The eastern end of the trail begins at Tennyson Street - a short distance to the east, the Tramway Recreation Trail continues north and south along its namesake boulevard. Heading west, the trail passes by rows of homes situated on spacious lots, with the Sandia Mountains looming to the east. While little more than a wide sidewalk, the trail has a gentle slope and offers some decent views of the city and its surroundings, before coming to an end at Eubank Boulevard, where just across the road the Eubank Trail runs north and south for a couple extra miles of pathway.
No dedicated trail parking is available for this trail.
This is a safe way to get from I-25 and San Antonio to Tramway.
