The Eubank Trail runs for just over two miles alongside Eubank Boulevard in northeastern Albuquerque. The ten-foot wide sidepath matches nicely with the wide four-lane divided road (with bike lanes on both sides as well), providing ample room for cyclists and pedestrians to travel along the corridor. While mostly useful as a utilitarian means of transportation, the Eubank Trail also offers some decent recreational opportunities in its own right, although trail users should take note that there are a good number of road crossings due to the nature of the trail.
Starting in the south, the trail begins from the sidewalk on the west side of the road, just north from Academy Road. Continuing past tracts of suburban homes, the trail intersects with the Paseo del Norte Trail on the north side of the boulevard that shares its name, then continues north into land still not fully built up with homes, coming to an end at Richfield Avenue. The rolling hills on the outskirts of the city provide ample views of the majestic Sandia Mountains to the east, lending the trail a scenic backdrop even as it hugs a major roadway.
Parking is available along the trail at Ben Greiner Field, located on Corona Avenue just east off Eubank Boulevard. The trail can be reached from downtown Albuquerque by taking Interstate 25 north, then proceeding west on Paseo del Norte Boulevard until reaching Eubank Boulevard.
