The Euchee Creek Greenway is a developing bike and pedestrian project in Columbia County, Georgia. At present, the trail is open in two sections, with the southern segment consisting of an approximately two-mile section in Grovetown. The wide paved trail snakes through the verdant woods around Euchee Creek between Wrightsboro Road and Harlem Grovetown Road. Benches and picnic tables are provided at intervals along the trail.
A separate section is complete to the north, stretching over five miles from the Canterbury Farms subdivision north to Patriots Park. The part of this trail along Columbia Road features slopes that might be challenging for some users.
Future plans call for extending the trail further north and east to provide an off-road connection all the way to Savannah Rapids Park, via the existing Evans to Locks Multi-Use Trail.
For the Grovetown segment, parking is available at either end of the trail: The north trailhead is located along Wrightsboro Road while the south trailhead is located at Harlem Grovetown Road.
For the Patriots Park segment, parking can be found in Patriots Park at 5445 Columbia Road.
I really enjoy running on this trail, great view and challenging run. The trail is 7miles but I haven’t ran the hold 7 miles. Not familiar with the layout of the trail so I’ve only gone so far. If you enjoy running, walking, biking take time out to visit this trail.
Great addition to the walking and biking options in Columbia County. Lots of beautiful natural views while following the Euchre Creek. Family friendly stopping points and connections with many neighborhoods in the area.
