Flyway Trail is a community-driven startup committed to building a world-class trail in Buffalo County. Our long-term goals for this project aim to increase community connectivity, support economic development and recreational tourism, and enhance the quality of life for future generations.
Phase one begins in Winona, Minnesota and crosses the Mississippi River, both by the new Interstate bridge and the historic Wagon Bridge, before crossing the Flyway Bridge and following the great river road. Phase two seeks to connect the Flyway Trail to the Great River Trail in Wisconsin which currently terminates just three miles away from the end of phase one. Phase three will push north towards Fountain City, Cochrane and eventually Alma, Wisconsin.
