The Lower Booker Creek Trail is a paved neighborhood trail in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The neighborhood trail cuts through the woods around Booker Creek, providing a natural escape for neighbors just steps from their front doors. It's also a convenient non-motorized connector to the shopping center on Franklin Street.
The trail is open from dawn to dusk. Dogs are welcome as long as they are leashed.
There is accessible parking at the end of Daley Road. From Durham-Chapel Hill Blvd/Fordham Blvd, heading southwest, turn right onto Erwin Road, then turn left on Old Oxford Road. Turn right onto Daley Road and follow it to its end.
Other users can park on the side of Markham Drive, near the corner of Tadley Drive and Markham. Head southwest on E Franklin St toward Elliott Rd. Turn right onto Elliott Road then turn right onto Old Oxford Road. In 0.3 miles, turn left onto Ridgcrest Drive and continue straight onto Tadley Road, which turns into Markham Drive once it rounds the corner. Park and walk to the trail access point on the corner of Tadley and Markham.
