Morgan Creek Trail Description

The Morgan Creek Trail is named after the nearby stream and is a well-used asphalt and boardwalk trail in the town of Chapel Hill. The trail gives residents a safe connection to Merritt's Pasture, an town-owned open field that is a popular passive recreation venue and outdoor photography venue. The bench at the top of the hill is also a great vantage point to watch a Chapel Hill sunset. Bikes are allowed on the trail but once you're at the pasture you'll have to dismount. The path at the pasture is walking only.

The Morgan Creek Trail connects to the Fan Branch Trail, which connects to Southern Community Park.

Parking and Trail Access

The trailhead is just off Fordham Boulevard (State Route 54) just southeast of the Kingswood Apartment complex.
