Trail users can always count on the Meadowmont Trail for a pleasant, scenic amble that takes you up grassy hills, through leafy woodlands and across stately neighborhoods with pretty gardens. The trail is a mile-long north-south pathway, stretching between Rashkis Elementary and Raleigh Road/ State Route 54 near the Chapel Hill/ Durham county border. There are some street crossings (at Barbee Chapel Road, Sprunt Street and Simerville Road) but the trail remains well-marked and easy to follow. At the south end, it intersects with the which has its own smooth, two-lane multiuse trail occupying both the north and south side of Raleigh Road.
There is no dedicated trail parking but you may be able to park at the Meadowmont Village shopping center (100 Meadowmont Village Circle, Chapel Hill) and walk to the trail at Barbee Chapel Road.
Simple but a nice area and the trail because off into other greenways.
