The Mark Sather Trail is part of a 10-mile bike and pedestrian route around White Bear Lake that is known as Lake Links Trail that includes on- and off-street segments. The trail is an example of the latter, an off-street recreational pathway that sits on the west side of the lake, stretching from South Shore Boulevard to Lake Avenue and ending at Highway 96. The trail is popular with users - it's wide, flat, paved, travels through tranquil, scenic neighborhoods and offers beautiful views of the lake. It also links waterfront recreational spaces including the docks, Matoska Park, Memorial Beach Park and White Bear Lake County Park.
This segment of the Lake Links Trail was named the Mark Sather Trail in honor of White Bear Lake's longtime city manager who retired in 2016, a great advocate for the trail.

Due to the short distance and heavy foot traffic, this is better for walking than biking.
