The Murray Run Greenway winds through a section of the City of Roanoke. The greenway trail is multipurpose, with a varying surface of cinder, woodchips and concrete sidewalk. The width of the trail also changes from point to point. As it meanders, it links three parks; Fishburn Park is the southernmost one, and features additional natural surface trails, tennis courts, picnic amenities and restrooms. The next park is Woodlawn Park, where the greenway cuts a swathe through the close trees. The greenway continues north to Shrine Hill Park, ending at the parking lot.
Parking is available at Shrine Hill Park (2343 Carter Road SW) and Fishburn Park (2304 Brambleton Ave SW).
