Peters Brook Greenway forms a nearly complete circle around Somerville, NJ. It traverses alongside its namesake Peter's Brook for a portion of the route and then later follows the Raritan River for a short piece as it meanders throughout the neighborhoods and greenways of Somerville.
Starting at the trail's northern endpoint at Clark Woods Field (where trail users can also enjoy a loop around the woods), the trails travels east and crosses Rte. 202 via an impressive pedestrian bridge. After following the highway and then Mountain Ave. for a short route, the trail continues alongside Peters Brook, passing exchange field and Michael Lepp Park and Arthur Chambers Park as it heads southeast before reaching its southern endpoint along Bridge St.
Parking is available for this trail at the southern endpoint at 1 Busky Ln, at Michael Lepp Park (118 Veterans Memorial Dr.), and at the northern endpoint at Clark Woods Field.
See TrailLink Map for detailed directions.
Confusing “trail” - poorly maintained, poorly marked. Felt a bit sketchy so to be clear I did not do the whole trail.
