Riverside Corridor Bike-Walking Trail Description

The southern Wisconsin City of Beloit, located near the Illinois border, boasts over 9 miles of multiuse trail along the Rock River. The river is the centerpiece of downtown, and a system of waterfront parks lines its banks. The paved, two-lane trails stretch almost the length of the town, allowing residents to walk and bike both for recreation and for commuting. Riverside Park, on the east bank, is the largest park, and acts asa venue for both individual leisure activities like sports and picnics, as well as large community events. Just north of the river's confluence with Turtle Creek, the trail heads east, paralleling railroad tracks before ending at Turtle Creek Park.
